Soccer Camp 2022 Tuesday Recap

Campers woke up Tuesday morning to a beautiful day with lots of fun activities planned ahead of them. The campers followed the same schedule from Monday with a few twists.

They enjoyed a nice breakfast and had some quiet time before heading into the chapel at 9:15am. The morning worship was once again live streamed on Facebook and Instagram live. Viewers were able to start their morning off hearing the campers sing praises unto the Lord's name through Lord I Lift Your Name on High, Our God, Promises, and Goodness of God.

Before James Clifford went into his message, he asked questions to the campers about his previous messages, and gave candy to those who answered correctly.

As for James' message, he specifically focused in on loving the Lord with all our heart. That involves loving Him with all our emotions and will. James also posed a question to the campers if they have real feelings for the Lord. He wanted them to make sure they have a personal relationship with the Lord and are not merely going through the motions because they were raised in a Christian home.

Campers reported down to the soccer fields at 10:30am for the skill of the day, which was dribbling.

Their skills training was abbreviated as time was carved out for the annual group picture which was taken this year on the field.

Following the picture, the campers went to lunch where they enjoyed chicken caesar wraps.

At 2:15pm, the campers had their second installment of soccer which was Dutch Futbol.

The campers had even more soccer ahead of them however, as all divisions matches began after dinner and carried past sundown due to Tuesday being a day of extended soccer.

Prior to the evening matches, campers were able to enjoy a cookout under the tent by the soccer fields provided by Jeff Hage and his team.

The campers returned to their cabins a little after 9:00pm. Since lights-out is at 10:30pm, the nighttime is used by some counselors to discuss deep topics with the campers, who are almost always prepared with difficult and important questions. Pray that the counselors would have the proper Biblically-accurate responses and that the campers' true desire would be to have a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and grow in that relationship with Him.
