Check out the new tent for the Chapel Barn!

The Chapel Barn burnt down January 11, 2013! It is very sad to see it go! It has been redone over the years because I know it didn't look like this when I was a camper many years ago! This structure holds a special sentiment for many campers. Memories at the Chapel Barn range from Bible lessons, praise songs, drill videos, stories from Harry, personal testimonies and even commitments to Christ. Keep praying for what God has in store for a new chapel barn at camp!

Three P's

When thinking of camp this week, I thought of these three P's: Prayer, Preparations and Personnel.

Prayer- all year long

  • Pray for campers to come to know the Lord and to grow in their walk with Him.
  • Pray for counselors and staff to put God first in their lives as they seek to serve Him daily.

Preparations-

  • As many of you already know, in January, our Chapel barn burned down and we have decided to use a tent for this summer. The TENT is up!! Check out the pictures!
  •  Saturday staff members and counselors will be gathering at camp to set up the fields and prepare the camp for it's personalized look of Soccer Camp!
  • As it stands now we will have Cory Nolan leading the music on guitar, go Cory, on drums we will have Martin Sanneh (CIT) and John Jones, Rachel Barrett (CIT) will work with them with the music sheets and  projector in the tent (chapel) .
  • We have new young man named Rob Sullivan who will be joining us as our Bible Teacher.
  • Crafts are ordered and a donation has been made to cover most of the expenses. Praise the Lord! The main craft this year is personalized notebooks with Duck Tape, etc.

Personnel-

  • The best part of Soccer Camp are the people who make it what it is! Every year God has continued to bless Harry Neil with dedicated and humble counselors and staff members. Many of the counselors have been attending camp since they were kids! I'd love to be able to dig up some of those pictures!
