The final full day of Soccer Camp is now behind us and we are so grateful for an incredible week filled with many opportunities to connect with and minister to the campers!
The last full day started with a breakfast of egg and beef burritos, followed by some quiet time, and then the morning chapel service. During the service, we enjoyed worship music with You Are So Good to Me, Way Maker, Amazing Grace, Our God, and Build My Life.
Our speaker, Joe Wilbur, focused his message on the Lord Jesus' parables from Matthew 13.
Dutch Futbol replaced the skill training for Friday and gave the campers one final opportunity to collect points for prizes on Saturday.
After enjoying casserole for lunch, the campers had some rest time followed by free time where they participated in a variety of activities.
Around 4:00pm, we held our opening ceremony for the International Championship Matches between France and the Netherlands.
Multiple matches took place across the three divisions, and we had another cookout on the fields in between the games.
Post-matches, everyone made their way to the chapel for an abbreviated chapel service. Joe gave one final message where he tied things back to his theme verse for the week, which is Romans 10:17: "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."
An award ceremony was also held for the winner of the International Championship Matches, which was France.
The night concluded with a campfire under the stars.
Soccer Camp has been an enjoyable week, but more importantly it has been a time where the Good News of the Lord Jesus Christ has been shared through Bible lessons, devotionals, testimonies, conversations, and songs. We pray that all the seeds planted this week would be watered and given the increase (1 Corinthians 3:6). May more souls be added to the Body of Christ because of how the Lord worked through Soccer Camp this week!
