The campers, now all on the grounds and settled in, had their first full day of Soccer Camp on Monday.
The breakfast bell rang at 7:45am and the campers gathered to begin their day with some nourishment.
After their physical nourishment, they returned to their cabins for some spiritual nourishment with quiet time for prayer and reflection.
The day's program continued with morning chapel at 9:15am where the campers lifted their voices in worship to the Lord.
Just like last year, the morning chapel session was streamed live on Camp Iroquoina's Facebook and Instagram accounts. The plan, Lord willing, is to do so the rest of the week so parents can see their kids. If you're not already following our social media accounts, you can find them at the bottom of this blog.
Following the singing, James Clifford brought the message to the campers. He picked up where he left off last night by stressing the importance of loving the Lord because He so deserves our love.
At 10:30am, the campers made their way over to the soccer fields to practice their skill of the day which was passing.
After some food and rest, the campers made their way back to the soccer field for Dutch Futbol.
The campers had their free time at 3:30pm, where they enjoyed many different activities for an hour and a half.
At 6:30pm, the campers went back to the soccer field for soccer matches. The matches involved the three age divisions (D1, D2, and D3) playing amongst themselves.
The campers met back in the chapel at 8:30pm for their evening chapel service. They once again sang songs and heard from James, who continued his message on loving the Lord. He also provided a very clear and complete explanation of the Gospel that both child and adult would be able to understand.
The night concluded with the campers singing How Great Is Our God. Our God is indeed very great and very deserving of our love. Our hope and prayer is that each camper realizes that and seeks a relationship with Him through faith in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Join us in prayer for the rest of the week!
